Meet the Team

MATT BODDINGTON LL.B (Hons) – (Managing Director) ex-Revenue, brings with him many years’ experience of employer compliance issues including PAYE audits and director problems. He represents clients in the tax tribunals as well as employment tribunals and is an authority on CIS status disputes and CIS certificate refusals. Matt is also involved in advising on the Managed Service Companies rules.

MARK TAYLOR LL.B (Hons), LL.M (Operations Director) Mark heads up the team and is in charge of the day to day running of the division. He has completed his Legal Practice Course and has extensive experience of handling personnel issues. He specialises in defending holiday pay claims and other contentious employment law and employment status disputes, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and TUPE.  Mark has successfully represented clients in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. Mark also has a Masters degree in Employment Relations.

SARAH GORDON (nee Thomson) LL.B (Hons) - Senior Tax Consultant has several years private practice experience, and specialises in CIS problems, defending tax status, Agency Regs challenges, IR35 matters and seminars. She has considerable expertise on CIS issues and represents clients at tax tribunals.

NICOLA SMITH BA (Hons) ATT – Senior Tax Consultant With several years tax experience, having worked in a number of large accountancy practices prior to joining Accountax, Nicola specialises in technical tax issues. With an abundance of experience defending status and IR35, including successfully representing clients at the tax tribunal including the recent Marlen IR35 case.  She also adds depth to our umbrella and managed service companies team.

SIÂN WOODS BSc ATT CTA - Tax Consultant joined us after many years in private practice. She specialises in S660a and technical tax enquiries.  She has a wealth of experience of defending IR35 and self-employed status, broad experience of practical tax consultancy and strengthens our umbrella and managed service companies team.

NEETA VAITHA ATT - Tax Consultant joins us from a top ten accountancy practice in the Midlands where she started her tax career in 2006. She specialised as a tax advisor providing tax planning solutions to high net worth individuals and owner managed businesses. Neeta bolsters the team with her wealth of experience in dealing with tax investigations.

SHYAM PATTANI BSc ATT - Tax Consultant strengthens our consulting team with over 5 years of experience in tax compliance starting in a regional firm in the East Midlands dealing with issues for High Net Worth Individuals and Trusts. He has since moved on to manage compliance for a practice based in Coventry dealing with HMRC enquiries. Shyam is currently working towards obtaining his Chartered Tax Advisor qualification.

HERMINDER S SANDHU - Tax Consultant. Herminder has a wealth of experience in compliance and CIS technical matters. He is ex-Revenue (cured now) and also has an abundance of experience in private practice. Having worked on both sides of the divide, Herminder has ample knowledge of HMRC’s practices and how to combat them. Herminder brings this expertise to us and will significantly enhance both our CIS and our umbrella and managed service companies teams.
